A while back, Tom took the kids for the day while I worked in the shop. When I came home, the kids were flying around with capes, newly minted superheroes.
Tom had been planning to make capes for the for Christmas, but we got swamped, and decided it could wait. So one day, while the kids had quiet time, he sat down at the sewing machine and whipped up three capes.
This past week he added these wrist bands to the costumes, because, clearly, every superhero should also have wristbands.
I hope you kids realize you scored a pretty good one in the Dad department. Not every dad sews capes and hot glues wristbands. Not every dad hunts around the craft store for the glittery pink and purple craft foam.
We will have to find other people to teach you how to play football or fix a car, but all in all, I think we hit the jackpot.
